Restaurant and Bar
The White Lion Inn was originally a drover's hostelry, used by farmers on their way to and from the markets in Hawes, Leyburn and Grassington in the 17th Century, and retains original features such as the Yorkshire stone flag floor.
Today it still serves traditional, home made food using local, fresh produce from suppliers such as Jackson's of Cracoe for meat, Wensleydale cheese from Hawes and freshly caught trout from Kilnsey Trout Farm .
Meals are served 7 days a week from 12.00 noon to 2.00pm and from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
The White Lion Inn is well known for its Sunday lunch and booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
