Formerly a Drovers Hostelry and dating back to the early 17th Century, the White Lion Inn is a traditional Yorkshire Inn, open all year round to provide warm inviting and friendly accommodation throughout the ever changing seasons. In fine, warm weather, food & drink can be enjoyed on the terrace or beside the cascading Cray Gill, which fronts the Inn.

Stepping-stones across the Gill lead to open fells and are the start of many recognised walks of various lengths to suit all abilities.
